FLORAL DESIGN

AC Event & Design Studio specializes in custom floral designs for corporate events, personal and business interiors, styled shoots and everyday enjoyment.  Drawing inspiration from the ephemeral flowers in Dutch still-life paintings and using a wild, romantic style our designs exude an emotional, organic, just picked from the garden feel.  Our designs are crafted from a diverse range of thoughtfully selected products- foraged, grown from local farms, and sourced from the best farms from around the globe.

HOW WE BEGAN

With an inherent passion for art and nature, AC Event & Design Studio founder and designer, Andie Cobarruvias began creating at a young age.  Growing up surrounded by Texas wildflowers and summers on the San Marcos River, simplicity and nature were a part of Andie's daily life from a young age.  Helping her mother work in the backyard garden was Andie’s first introduction to floristry and, little did she know, the beginning of her love affair with flowers. In elementary school, Andie was winning awards for her bold art projects and by high school her love of the creative arts grew even deeper when she was given her first 35 mm camera and discovered black and white photography.  When she did not have a camera around her neck, she was on stage competing in dance and theater competitions.  Her experience in the events world led her to explore her love and appreciation for design and to eventually open her floral design studio. 

As a freelance designer, Andie had the pleasure of collaborating with many gifted floral designers including Bows and Arrows, The Byrd Collective, The Nouveau Romantics and Coby Neal.  The style of each artist varies dramatically as do their clientele.  Working with these artists provided Andie with a profound opportunity to sharpen her own skills, technique, and find her voice while continuously learning and gaining inspiration.  Her work for many of these artists and as a solo designer has been published in online and print publications such as Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake and Love and Lavender.

AC Event & Design Studio specializes in custom floral designs with an organic, just picked from the garden style.  Andie creates floral arrangements that reflect her affinity for simplicity, nature and uncommon goods.  Our floral arrangements are crafted from a diverse range of thoughtfully selected products- foraged, grown from local farms, and sourced from the best farms abroad.
